Kidbrooke Mansion, built in 1733, stands majestically in 120 acres of landscaped parkland & woodland, adjoining the Ashdown Forest. Constructed from local sandstone in the Palladian style, the Mansion is a Grade II Listed Building, which has been home to many great families over the centuries.
The extensive grounds were landscaped by renowned Landscape Architect Humphry Repton and incorporate sweeping vistas, an outdoor theatre, a folly, walled garden and majestic trees.
Once a hunting ground for royalty, Kidbrooke was the setting for a memorable Pageant in 1929 attended by the late Queen Mother (then Duchess of York).
Today Kidbrooke is home to Michael Hall School, the oldest and largest Steiner Waldorf School in the UK and one of over 875 worldwide. The holistic nature of this education is visible through the local community and estate.

The details of this role are as follows:
Working hours: Full time 37.5 hours – over 5 days, on a rolling shift pattern, Monday-Sunday of either early, mid or late shift. Every fourth week you will have days off between Monday and Friday as you will have to work Saturday and Sunday (shift timings as required)
Approximate shift timings:
Early 7am-3pm, Mid 9am-5pm, Late 2.30pm-10.30pm

Site Team Operative
Key Responsibilities
To ensure that the school buildings and surrounding areas are safe
That school buildings are heated efficiently and are clean and tidy
That all buildings entrances, exits & fire exits are accessible
That all buildings & F&F within are in good working order
To work alongside other site team operatives to make sure the site as a whole is safe and secure for pupils, parents, staff and visitors & to ensure the educational demands of the school & the estate within its current setting.
